Hollywild Zoo in Inman - Homeschool Days

Have you seen the NEW BABY WHITE BISON? His name is LAKODA and he may be the only white bison you see in your entire life!

This extremely rare animal is the newest addition at HOLLYWILD and you can see him at HOLLYWILD ANIMAL PARK’S annual HOMESCHOOL DAY. Even if you’ve been before, there’s always something new at Hollywild.

This year, Hollywild Animal Park in Inman, SC is pleased to offer TWO HOMESCHOOL DAYS! They will be Friday, SEPTEMBER 7 and SEPTEMBER 14. The park will be open ESPECIALLY for homeschoolers from 9 AM - 2 PM and everyone will receive the group rate of $6.00 per person. (Children under 24 months are FREE.)

Please arrive before 1 PM.

Admission to the park includes all exhibits and the educationally entertaining animal shows in the Hollywild amphitheater. You also get to experience the safari bus tour through Hollywild's nearly 100 acre "outback". You can hand feed exotic animals from around the world as they come right up to your safari bus. Free bread is provided for those who want to feed the animals on the safari tour. Diet-appropriate animal food is also available for optional purchase as you enter the park. Small, medium, and large containers are designed especially for the animals you will encounter on your walking tour. HOLLYWILD ANIMAL PARK is a great family destination. It is a place you and your children will remember for a lifetime. It is also a great place for the first field trip of your new homeschool year.

Here's another great thing about Hollywild.... Have you ever been to a theme park or "family attraction" that has a policy of "no outside food allowed", then once you get inside they charge you $4 for a drink and $6 for a hot dog?!!! HOLLYWILD takes the complete opposite approach. Hollywild has several shaded pavilions and many picnic tables throughout the park. You are invited to bring your own picnic lunch and drink. If you do decide to purchase your drink at the park, it won't cost you a fortune!

If you've never been to Hollywild, you may not know how the park got it's name. It is called HOLLYWILD because many of the animals in the park are actual MOVIE STARS!!! That's right, at Hollywild you can see animals who've starred in movies such as The Big Chill, Prancer, Prince of Tides, Monkey Shines, Reversal of Fortune, Days of Thunder, Betsy's Wedding, Last of the Mohicans, The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking, and The Stand to name just a few. Hollywild is even home to the mascots of the NFL Carolina Panthers. Also, many of the animals you see in TV commercials spend their "non-filming" time at Hollywild.
